My conscience has been screaming at me for some time now. I know I should blog more – a lot more – and I know that I should find some time for it. However, my brain is so exhausted from all the studying that I just feel like collapsing on my bed and sleeping for at least another century. I would write a blogpost about how to study for 5 hours each day, if I didn’t have to study for 5 hours each day. Haha. Enough pitying, let’s show you my favourites for the past two months.
MY JANUARY&FEBRUARY FAVOURITES
I’ve never been a big fan of coffee. But I have also never had to study this much. And I’ve realised that coffee is such a saviour of the day, I would totally give it some award. After coming home from school, I just want to sleep and procrastinate. But that’s not the plan. And so I drink some coffee and then I’m back on track until midnight! Not healthy at all, but it doesn’t have to be healthy to deserve my love. Black coffee. No milk. A lot of sugar.
MAMA SAID by LUKAS GRAHAM
I don’t know why, I just love this song. Maybe because it gives me the vibes of ‘everything’s okay’, which is quite helpful during these tough study times.
THE LOVING SHEPHERDESS by ROBINSON JEFFERS
This poem is such a magical piece of poetry. I can’t say anything else than: read it, read it, you will not regret it. I had such a poetic experience whilst reading this. It’s not difficult, it doesn’t even rhyme, but it’s so wonderfully written. It’s fragile, it’s tender, it’s natural. It’s beautiful.
Let me present you my favourite youtubers, DamonandJo. They inspire me every day to shut up and go travel – and I’m so looking forward to finally do it. But for the time being, I love watching their videos – they speak not just English, but also French, Portuguese and Italian (and a bit Spanish and German). Apart from their youtube channel, they also have a BLOG.
A PLASTIC OCEAN by GREENPEACE
I went into a coffee shop in our town a few days ago because they screened this documentary in there. And I must say it is really worth watching. Although I already sort the waste and try to avoid plastic bags and although I’ve seen this with my own eyes, it still hurt my conscience and made me want to do more, fight against plastics, try to make this world a better place. Everyone should see this film.
OUR TOWN LIBRARY
Although many people dislike the library in our town because it has an ugly communist look, I personally love it. I always go there when I can’t focus enough on studying while being at home and it always helps. I have spent my time in this library since I was about 4 years old (my mum took us there) and I consider it as my second home. It’s also quite big so it’s easy to find a nice spot where you feel hidden and where you can concentrate.
That is all. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this post and have a great March! I will now go back to studying. (*help*)
