2017 is over and I must say I’ve seen some pretty good films this year. It would be a shame not to write a post about them and so here we go!

Beauty and the Beast has always been my favourite fairytale and this re-make with Emma Watson is just wonderful. It made my long flight much more pleasant (thank you, Emirates, for streaming brand new films that you can otherwise watch only in the cinema). I love listening to the song Belle on my way to school!

btw. I must mention Moana because even though it’s a 2016 film, I’ve seen it this year and it has become one of my favourite fairytales. The desire to explore, the feeling that you don’t belong, the whole idea of nature… I love it. And How far I’ll go is one of the best Disney songs ever!

I usually prefer Marvel to DC but I must admit that this is the best superhero film I have EVER seen. There’s action, there’s fun, it has a strong female character, plus there are amazing thoughts and meanings. The meaning of war, the nature of human beings, love. I really love this film. Avengers cannot be compared to this (even though I like them).

I didn’t know what to think about this film while watching it, but I cried like hell in the end. You can read more about this film in my POST.

I went to see this film with my family and we all enjoyed it so much. First of all, I like Ansel Elgort and it was amazing to see him in a totally different character than Augustus Waters. Baby Driver is really amusing, there are great moments and jokes, it’s intense and it’s romantic. This is the film you want to watch with crisps and a glass of coke on a rainy day.

Some people hate it, others love it. I am the latter. I haven’t seen the first 6 films (yet) but I went to see this one and I had such a good time. It was funny and full of action and the whole concept of the Force really fascinates me. It has made me want to watch the other films of Star Wars!

This film is scary. The sound of bullets is so loud, I had to cover my ears all the time and sometimes I found myself on the edge of crying. But it is so real and so poetic at the same time, I cannot even describe it properly. The camera is beautiful, the scenes are meaningful, words are not needed to describe such a horror and so they are not over-used. Also, my friend and I went to see it just because Harry Styles is in it and we were very curious if he’s there just because he’s famous or if he can really act. In our opinion, he can. He was bloody good.

I laughed and I cried. This is such a lovely and innocent movie. It’s very interesting to try to perceive the world from a dog’s view. And the dog’s purpose in the world is beautiful (no spoilers).

Thank you for reading this post, I hope you’ve enjoyed it and I recommend all of the films mentioned above. They are great! If you have some suggestions, let me know in the comments – I always like to watch new interesting films.
