While working on our school Erasmus + project in La Roche sur Yon, I visited another two towns, Les Sables d’Olonne and Nantes. This post is going to be about the first one.
Les Sables d’Olonne is a small seaside town just about twenty minutes from La Roche sur Yon. We can find it in the department of Vendée and its neighbour is the Atlantic ocean.
I did not have much time to discover the place but it seemed to me like it was very calm and quite. I didn’t feel like I was in France (but that’s true about the whole Vendée, it just feels more like Italy or Greece) because the architecture is just so italian and the atmosphere is very… well, holiday-friendly, I would say. Being in Les Sables d’Olonne makes you want to veg out on a beach and drink coctails.
My french friends told me something very interesting about one particular street in this town. It’s a street ornated with seashells and it looks very beautiful. I took some photos of it, so here we go:
It’s a shame I couldn’t spend some more time in Les Sables d’Olonne. For now, I can just show you some other photos and hope that maybe one day, I’ll have a chance to visit the town again.
